This month, members and friends of the Rotary Club of Doral came together to share a meaningful day of service at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida. The experience reminded us of the true essence of Rotary — “Service Above Self.”
Our team prepared and served meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House while their children receive critical medical care nearby. For a few hours, we had the privilege of offering not only food but also warmth, companionship, and encouragement to families facing difficult times.
“Rotary teaches us that happiness begins when we serve others,” said one of our members. “Today we saw firsthand how small acts of kindness can make a world of difference.”
As we spoke with parents and caregivers, we were inspired by their strength, faith, and resilience. Many shared their stories, their fears, and their hopes. These moments of connection reminded us why service matters — because compassion brings healing and hope, even in the hardest moments.
The Ronald McDonald House represents love, care, and community. It was a privilege to contribute to their mission and to experience once again the joy of giving back. We left with our hearts full and our commitment to service renewed.
